These robot prison guards are the key to keeping bad guys in jail and be very secure. These robot prison guards a new technology invented in South Korea. Three robot guards are currently being made and will be released on March, 2012. The Ministry of Education invested $864,000 just to make these robots. These robots, equipped with cameras and sensors, will stop any suicidal inmates and will prevent them from escaping. Since they are not human they can be activated all year long and make an easier life for the human guards (because the robots will alert them if anything is suspicious or in danger). The army will not be required as no prisoners can escape. The robot is 5 feet tall, has four wheels, and can talk. These robots don't kill people, they just try to prevent anything bad, and alert the guards if they can't do anything about it. Korea is finally challenging Japan's technology, as Japan is currently the highest technology in Asia.
This technology has taught me that technology is improving so much more and lives are getting easier/safer. I've learned that technology is improving quickly, from phones to robots. I think in the future, there may be less jobs for people, but a lot of robots will exist and maybe will do the hard jobs, maybe even the easy jobs. I've learned that robots will be very useful to humans and can change the future.
