Thailand has been flooding for 3-4 weeks already. The government is trying their best to protect people against the flood but it's not enough. The dams are too weak and the government doesn't bother to try to fix or strengthen it. People can't buy supplies because it always runs out of stock. The government can't get a single information correct and for sure. The country was not ready for a flood and is disorganized. Many Thai people have lost their homes and some even died. Everyone is panicking and afraid of the flood. What I'd do is practice flood safety and just be calm. I would try to get supplies, but I would be worried like crazy. I wouldn't really care much of the flood because it's just water current. If you stay in your house PROTECTED, then you can actually stay safe. Don't get dragged by the flood and you'll be fine.
According to Flood Safety websites, you need alot of different supplies like flashlights, extra batteries, emergency phone, 3-day lasting food/water (don't drink too much or eat too much in a day), sunscreen, insect (mostly mosquito) repellent, medical kit, and alot more such as your ID and a radio.
People in King County are told to do this during a flood. The same can be done with Thailand.
