Assassin's Creed Revelations

So I assume everyone's heard of the game "Assassin's Creed". Every gamer must know that or else you're not a true gamer. It's one of the most best, famous, popular, fun, amazing, and successful games ever to be made. Assassin's Creed is a single player, third person view game, that involves unbloody killing, cool tactics, and an amazing story line. The game is made by the company Ubisoft. Assassin's Creed doesn't just shock you and make you excited, it has an amazing storyline too. It's an action game which everyone will love because you get to climb buildings and  jump down towers like the Galata Tower!

There are currently a total of 4 Assassin's Creed games: Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations. There are a lot more but the 4 are the main ones. Each game takes place in a different location and has their own specialty. The first game takes place during the Crusades (around the 12th Century). The other ones are based on a character named Ezio during the Renaissance and has to fight for justice and prevent world domination. Assassin's Creed is good because you can learn a lot about history and get an idea of how cities looked like. As the Assassin's fight their enemies, The Templars, who want to control the world, they find out about the end of the world. The game has sold about 31 million copies entirely, and has been voted a lot of times and given positive feedbacks.

Language Arts

A lesson in class, is to be taught and learn new stuff or go over old lessons you learned. In Language Arts class (the week before), we did a vocabulary quiz. We had to learn the words and study the words for a spelling bee. The non graded quiz had 100 words. Then this week we got the results. We did a vocabulary test this week too. It doesn't stop there though. That's what we mainly did.

I've learned quite a few things in Mr.Brian's Language Arts class. Of course, I've learned a lot of vocabulary words and some of their meanings. We also did some grammar stuffs about sentences and how it's important like independent clauses ( a sentence that can be by itself), dependent clauses (needs another sentence to make sense), compound complex sentences, and a lot more.

ICT Class lesson!

Every single lesson, no matter what, even on Mondays, we learn a new thing. Every class we get to know more of Mr.Pete and his unlimited knowledge. Though we learned more about Adobe InDesign this week, his wise knowledge has got us to know about Adobe InDesign much more. Using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator, we had to use Mr.Pete's knowledge and create an anti-bullying poster. We also had to read a blog post and write an article about it.

I've learned a lot of different things. I've learned that in the future, phones will outnumber the human population, even if humans started from about 1 million years ago and phones were first made about 40 years ago. That's how important technology became. Also, we made anti bullying poster. We learned how to make a picture dark and white in Adobe Illustrator using "expand" and to edit it, we used "live trace" and "ungrouped" it. We learned how to increase size, and I learned how to draw a perfect like in the middle. Mr.Pete taught us about spacing and how to make it look balanced and nice. He also taught us how to make layers and all those stuff.

Avatar in real life coming up soon!

So we all know the movie "Avatar". We've seen it, probably loved it, and know it. If you didn't watch it, I advise you to go watch that movie like seriously. If you don't even know what "Avatar" is, I don't even know what to say. Avatar is currently the most highest-grossing film in the world. By 2012, it takes only 300$ million more dollars to make it's grossing go over 3 billion US dollars. Now, to the topic. So in the movie, a person controls a fake body called an "Avatar". If you're an Avatar fan, you'll love to hear this. The Pentagon has decided to make a machine just like the one in "Avatar". This will allow real life humans to be able to control an Avatar body and do what is necessary. Cool right? The Pentagon says that it'll only take $7 million while in the movie, it cost about $235 million.

Once again, I have learned that technology is extremely important and filled with wonders at the same time. Technology can do everything for us. What you're currently using is technology! Your TV outside, your game console, and even your favorite movies were made with technology. Technology is so great now that you can even make an Avatar machine, which is almost impossible to do. It may be bad because it could cause more war, but if technology gets even better and they fight in an imaginary world, maybe the world would get better.

Starcraft 2!

Starcraft 2 is an amazing RTS game (Real Time-Strategy) that is only used on computers! Starcraft is one of the most successful games ever to be made. Starcraft is one of the main reasons why a lot of computer games today exist - it revolutionized computer gaming. You don't need those dumb Xbox 360's or Playstation 3's, you can always use a computer (which is the best) and one of the best games played on a computer is Starcraft 2. Starcraft is based on the future where human prisoners (Terran) sent to space, find a planet, build a colony, and  find them selves in a middle of a war between two alien races - the Protoss and the Zerg. The Zerg was created to wipe out the Protoss (an experiment that went wrong by their creators, the Xel Naga) and the Protoss fight for justice. The Terrans, well, they just try to live (it has a WHOLE larger summary than this. This is just about 1/10 of the main plot).

I actually learned a few things from this game. All those games today like Call of Duty, Battle Field, Skyrim, and a lot of those games were inspired by each other but mainly by Starcraft. Starcraft is also a sport in South Korea. Anyways, Starcraft was one whole campaign in one game but Starcraft 2, have three parts, focusing on one race at a time. It's expensive, but it has multiplayer and it was 2010's Game of the Year and most bought PC games. FPS (First Person Shooters) are very overrated and strategy games are for smart people, that's why Starcraft is one of the best games ever.

Social Studies lesson learned!

Well last week, we learned about World War 2, Nazi Germany, and Military Japan coming to an end. We watched a video about Hitler's last days in his bunker. The video was called "Downfall". It showed what Hitler did during his last 10 days in huge details. We also watched how Japanese soldiers commit suicide themselves with grenades to serve "honor" by not surrendering to the enemy. We also watched a video about "Kamikazes", Japanese suicide pilots, and Hiroshima.

I learned that World War 2 was a cruel, tiring, and dangerous war. I learned that in World War 2, millions of soldiers died, innocent civilians died, and how evil and cruel the World War was. Though World War 2 ended the Great Depression and helped restore economy, it was not worth the millions of soldiers' and civilians' lives taken. I learned that the Holocaust was a very evil thing (not in the German minds at that time), how strict Japanese culture was, and how the bomb dropped on Hiroshima was a tragic event that even today, Americans debate about if they made the right choice or not.

A lesson learned from in Mr. Super Pete's class!

Every week, the class always looks forward to learn in Mr. Super Pete's awesome class. He is always full of surprises and entertainment! This week, the class made two things: a Valentines card and an anti bullying poster. We used Abode Photoshop for the Valentines card and Adobe Illustrator for the Anti-Bullying poster. We got a valentines picture layout then placed it into Adobe Photoshop. We used shapes from Abode Photoshop (a heart) and that smart man, once again, showed us a few tricks that were up his sleeve. Behind the heart, we placed a photo using Mr. Super Pete's technique and it actually looked pretty neat. As for the Anti-Bullying poster, we got a few pictures of bullying and made decisions on what was right and wrong.

Well basically what I learned is explained at the paragraph above. I learned a lot of tricks. I learned that you can get a layout, get a shape, create a shape and just put what ever you want like a picture behind it, making it look nice. I learned a few basics of using Abode Illustrator and I learned a lot through Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I learned about re sizing everything and making it go into place. It was all an enjoyable lesson!

Phones > Human Population?

So the current population of humans is at 7 billion and still rising. That's a lot of people! But now imagine a device that was firstly created during the 1970s -1980s outnumber the human population. Of course, we're talking about hand phones! The hand phones that you may or may not have in your pockets, bags, or wherever you keep them, has already or will soon outnumber 7 billion. That's a crazy amount of phones especially when it was made in half a century. Of course it's not that every person will get one, it's that the amount of phones produced is now higher than the human population, which has been around since about 500,000 years ago. Well that's not all! The companies are now trying to increase the Internet speed of phones! So two great and astounding news!

This article teaches me that the world today is largely based on technology. Technology is so important in today's world that now even phones outnumber the human population. Sure, phones are small and doesn't really take a long time to make, but they started making phones about 40 years ago and imagine the amount of time it takes to think of an idea unlike humans, that started 500,000 years ago. Technology is very important today because a lot of our education and almost everything you do, is based on technology. That's how important technology is.

The All American Rejects

The All American Rejects are an American rock band that makes good songs. They were formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The band consists of 4 band members - Tyson Ritter (Bassist, lead vocalist), Nick Wheeler (Lead guitarist), Mike Kennerthy (Rhythm guitarist), and Chris Gaylor (Drummer). The band has been successful in the bast 12 years. Their first album (named after the band) already made them famous because of the song "Swing Swing" but their second album "Move Along" made them extremely famous. Their song "Dirty Little Secret" is probably by far, the band's most famous, most liked, and best song. It has over 16 million views on Youtube. The band has sold over 2 million album copes total.

I want to be a musician when I grow up so these guys are an inspiration to me. These guys never gave up and made music the way they wanted to and now they're famous. I've learned that trusting in yourself and practicing what you want to do in the future will help you a lot. I'm not sure if they had hardships in their young life like Green Day but nonetheless, if I follow and practice guitar, do my work, and just make music, then maybe I can be successful in the future.

Science: Evolution

So how did you get to be a human? You weren't just magically made. Well if you're Christian then believe in God but for the people who believe in evolution, they'll understand how awesome evolution is. Evolution occurs when a species has a disadvantage and keeps dying. So that almost means evolution is a change in genes in a species to suit their needs. Evolution doesn't occur when a species doesn't need a change in a certain way. So if a giraffe needed to eat leaves, but the trees got taller, evolution would kick in and help the giraffes be able to eat the grass. Don't forget that evolution is a theory made by Charles Darwin that animals changed over time!

One of evolution's main purposes is to keep a species alive. Evolution doesn't just happen only when a species is dying or starving, it also changes the way males and females think of each other. There are three types of evolution: natural selection (where you have something because your nature told you that you needed it, example: hedgehogs having spikes to defend it self), sexual selection (what the opposite gender likes about you, example: female lions are attracted to a male lions' manes), and selective breeding (what a plant or animal got because of humans, example: plants have more vitamin and chickens cannot fly and have more meat). Those are the three main things that cause evolution. You may not notice it, but if you look through the past, you'll see that evolution has changed fishes, amphibians, cats, and even us! That's why evolution is so great and fun!

Oh and this is a clip of two giraffes fighting to get a mate. This is also evolution (sexual selection).

In Design ICT Class

InDesign is an application that people use made by Adobe System. It is an application that allows YOU or a company, in fact, ANYONE to create posters, brochures, magazines, poster, books, newspapers, you name it! Well it's a good application! Well Mr.Pete teaches you about the application better. He taught us how to create menus of our own! He taught us how to put text into the menu, taught us how to put the pictures into menus and much more! Indesign is truly a cool application to use, if you know the tricks!

I've learned many stuff from Mr.Pete. For example, we learned what type of fonts would fit a menu nicely. He also taught how how to be creative and add some nice small photos (like a fish or anything you want) into Indesign. He showed us his menu and we noticed that his "i" had a fish on top. Well the smart man used Adobe Photoshop to get a nice shape of a certain kind and used Adobe Illustrator to change the colors and stuff then posted it into his amazing menu. He showed us how to change the background colors using layeras and taught us how to create different types of layers so it would look cool! Now his menu looks like it could be used in real life! I've learned that with Adobe Indesign, we can do all sorts of crazy stuff...and if you're witty, you'll find this awesome!

Kinect...in business

So we all know the famous toys that people use these days like Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, computers, or Kinect. These are the world's most famous game products to be sold. You use a controller to play Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii. You use a mouse and keyboard for computers but for Kinect, you just use your bodies to control your character (good way for exercising and playing at the same time). Now imagine Kinect being brought to commercialism. The Microsoft company has thought of an idea to come up with the idea of Kinect helping commercial purposes. For example, in a warehouse, it's hard to use the computers to track stuff because of your gloves, so Kinect comes and saves you time because it can track what you do too!

I've learned that nowadays, technology is so great and is even being brought into important jobs. Technology is so good that it creates more new ways for jobs and ideas without killing all the trees or harming the environment a lot. Games today are very important. They are one of the main reasons why people use computers and Xbox 360s and a lot more. They're so important, they're being brought into commercial purposes and help the economy. Tons of people buy and play games these days, which is helping the economy.  That's how awesome and quick technology is improving. Maybe in the future, there will be tons more ideas and games will be as important as life or at least like a job.

Beagles!

Beagles are a breed of dogs that are very friendly and love to play. If you think Chiwawas were the best, you're totally wrong. They may be cute, but beagles would totally win that. Beagles are very active and very friendly. They are brown, white, and sometimes a bit black. They love playing with their owners and would play with them for the whole day if possible. They can be housedogs too but they want to have fun. They are also probably the second smartest dogs. They are very famous and everyone loves beagles. Oh and if you loved Snoopy, he's a beagle too.

Skyrim is an amazing RPG (Role Playing Game) where you can do tons of things. You can go around finishing quests. You can go around fighting dragons and giants with your bow, staff, or sword. You can go join cults and assassinate people. You can even get married or shout people to death! It's a pretty amazing game made by Bethesda Studios.Skyrim is the fifth sequel to the Elder Scrolls and is very popular. The "arrow to the knee" joke has been popularized by Skyrim players and has made it even more famous. So don't just sit there, GO KILL SOME DRAGONS!

Mozilla Firefox Notification System

Technology is getting better and better. We have many different application and devices. On your touch devices like Apple or Android, you want to sometimes know news of what your favorite actor or actress is doing or where your friends are, etc. Well Mozilla Firefox can help you with that. They've invented a new "touch notification" system where if the person with this application "accepts" the URL link, it'd be sent to the Mozilla Notification system where it can be transported to your touch device. So if you subscribed to someone on twitter, this will help you see all their tweets. Useful eh?

I've learned that technology for everything, even for browsers, are getting better. Browsers are starting make applications that help people all around the world. This touch notification system, for example, is another step to an easy and helpful life. Though there are some applications like this already, a better and new version of the application is always better. Using this application, I could check all my favorite videos released from Youtubers I subscribed and a lot more. That's my opinion.
